GETTING STARTED WITH THERAPY AT MK WELLNESS COLLECTIVE

Okay, but how does this actually work?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or book a free consultation. You can request a specific therapist or tell us what you’re looking for and let us help with the match.

We’ll consider what you’d like support with, your availability, location, insurance or payment preferences, and the type of therapist you think you’ll connect with.

WHAT DOES THERAPY AT MK WELLNESS COLLECTIVE LOOK LIKE?

Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical to actually work.

Therapy at MK Wellness Collective is collaborative, practical, and tailored to you. You don’t need to show up knowing exactly what to talk about or have the “right” goals figured out. Your therapist will help you understand what’s keeping you stuck, build tools that actually fit your life, and create changes that last outside the therapy room.

Because therapy is virtual, you can meet with your therapist from a private, comfortable space without adding another commute or appointment location to your already-full schedule.

Most clients begin with weekly or every-other-week therapy sessions. How often you meet depends on what you're working through, your goals, your schedule, and the level of support that makes sense for you.

Your therapist will talk with you about session frequency when you get started and adjust it over time as your needs change. There isn't one schedule that works for everyone.

How often will I go to therapy?

Completely normal. You don't need to walk into therapy with an agenda, perfectly explain what's wrong, or know exactly where to start.

Your therapist can help you slow things down, notice patterns, and make sense of what has been feeling overwhelming, stuck, or just...off. Some sessions may focus on what's happening right now. Others may explore patterns, relationships, past experiences, or what your nervous system has been trying to tell you.

“I don't even know where to start” is a perfectly acceptable place to start.

There's no predetermined finish line for therapy. Some people come to therapy to work through a specific challenge, while others want support with patterns that have been building for years.

We'll regularly check in about what's changing, what's helping, what still feels stuck, and what you want from therapy moving forward. The goal isn't to keep you in therapy forever. It's to help you build greater self-understanding, regulation, confidence, and tools you can actually use in your everyday life.

How long will I need therapy?

Online therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes and are available to clients located in Massachusetts at the time of their appointment. Depending on your clinician’s licensure, you may be able to be physically located in another state as well.

MK Wellness Collective provides online therapy for women and adults throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Virtual therapy makes it easier to get consistent mental health support without adding a commute, waiting room, or another place you need to be to an already-full schedule.

Our therapists support clients navigating anxiety, high-functioning anxiety, burnout, mental load, perfectionism, chronic stress, motherhood and maternal mental health concerns, trauma, ADHD-related challenges, and other experiences that can leave you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself.

Online therapy allows you to meet securely with your therapist from a private location within the state where your therapist is licensed. For many clients, that means accessing therapy from home, a private office, or another space where they can comfortably talk.

WHAT WE HELP WITH

THERAPY FOR ANXIETY, BURNOUT AND CHRONIC STRESS

Most people don’t come to therapy with one perfectly defined problem. Anxiety can exist alongside burnout. Perfectionism can keep you over-functioning long after you’re exhausted. The mental load of work, relationships, parenting, and being the person everyone relies on can make it hard to remember what it feels like to actually be off.

At MK Wellness Collective, we provide online therapy for women and adults in Massachusetts (as well as New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine and Texas) who are ready to understand what’s underneath the overwhelm, not just get better at pushing through it.

You don’t have to fit neatly into one box.

Not sure which one sounds like you? That’s completely fine. You don’t need to diagnose yourself before starting therapy.

GOOD TO KNOW

INSURANCE, PRIVACY AND THERAPY POLICIES

A few practical things worth knowing.

Insurance coverage varies depending on your therapist, location, and individual health plan. Before starting therapy, we’ll help clarify whether your therapist participates with your insurance and review any applicable private-pay fees.

Your copay, coinsurance, deductible, and other out-of-pocket costs are determined by your specific insurance benefits.
