ANXIETY THERAPY FOR WOMEN IN MASSACHUSETTS
You look fine, Your mind tells a different story.
Anxiety is exhausting. You can be successful, capable and “holding it all together”- and still feel overwhelmed, on edge, and never able to relax.
MK Wellness Collective provides virtual therapy for clients across Massachusetts. Also serving New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine and Texas. Clinician availability varies by state.
YOUR ANXIETY DOESN’T ALWAYS LOOK LIKE ANXIETY.
At home: You’re mentally tracking what needs to happen next, what everyone needs, what you forgot, and what could become a problem later. Even when you finally sit down, part of your brain is still running the household. Rest can feel uncomfortable because there’s always something you could be doing.
At work: You’re prepared, dependable, and probably very good at what you do. But you also reread emails, overthink decisions, worry about disappointing people, and put pressure on yourself to get things right. You might call it being thorough. Sometimes it’s anxiety making sure there’s absolutely no room for error.
In your body: Your mind might say everything is fine while your body says otherwise. Tight shoulders. A clenched jaw. Restlessness. Trouble sleeping. A racing heart or that uncomfortable feeling in your chest or stomach that seems to show up out of nowhere. Your body can feel like it’s bracing for something, even when you can’t figure out what.
In your relationship with yourself: You second-guess yourself constantly. You replay conversations, question decisions you already made, and can be incredibly hard on yourself when you get something wrong. You want to trust yourself, but anxiety keeps convincing you that if you stop analyzing, preparing, or staying one step ahead, you’ll miss something important.
You’re functioning. You’re getting things done. Most people probably have no idea how much energy goes into staying on top of everything. But anxiety has a way of quietly working itself into almost every part of your day.
At first, you might just catch the spiral sooner. Maybe you send the email without rereading it five times. You make a decision without asking everyone else if it was the right one first. You still feel anxious, but you’re starting to trust that you don’t have to respond to every worried thought.
Over time, you leave things unfinished, you handle a change of plans without unraveling or you feel uncertainty without immediately trying to fix, avoid, or overthink it.
The goal isn’t a life eradicating anxiety, but rather a life where anxiety is no longer in the driver seat. You’re still ambitious, thoughtful, and deeply caring, but you just don’t have to be on high alert all the time to be those things.
IMAGINE NOT NEEDING TO THINK YOUR WAY OUT OF EVERY UNCOMFY FEELING
HOW WE APPROACH ANXIETY
At MK Wellness Collective, we work with women whose anxiety often looks like competence. You’re productive, prepared, responsible, and usually the person everyone else counts on to get it done. We deeply understand how hard it can be to recognize your anxiety is a problem when some of the very patterns exhausting you are also the ones that have helped you become successful.
More understanding what’s underneath them.
Less managing symptoms.
We work with your thoughts
The overthinking, worst-case scenarios, perfectionism, self-criticism, people pleasing, and constant need to make sure everything is okay.
and we work with your body.
Because you cannot always think your way out of a dysregulated nervous system.
MKWC licensed therapists integrate various evidence-based modalities including CBT, somatic therapy, attachment-informed care, IFS-informed work, and psychoeducation on what fits you best.
YOU DON’T NEED TO GET RID OF YOUR ANXIETY. YOU NEED TO STOP BEING AFRAID OF WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON’T LISTEN TO IT
