Hi, I’m Emily!

I help women move through motherhood, matrescence, trauma, and life's biggest transitions so they can stop feeling like they're just getting through the day and start feeling like themselves again. No one really prepares you for how much becoming a mom changes you. You're caring for a baby while trying to figure out who you are in this new season of life, all under the pressure to look like you're handling it effortlessly.

Maybe you spend so much time taking care of everyone else that you don't even recognize yourself anymore. Maybe you're carrying guilt, anxiety, grief, or experiences from your past that keep showing up in ways you didn't expect. You've probably tried pushing through, convincing yourself this is "just how motherhood is," or waiting for things to get easier. But healing doesn't happen by ignoring what's underneath. It happens when you finally have the space to slow down, understand what you've been carrying, and learn how to move through it differently.

MY BACKGROUND AND APPROACH

In our work together, we'll look at how your past experiences, nervous system, and current season of life all connect. We'll use approaches like DBT, mindfulness, Solutions-Focused Therapy and other practical tools to help you process what's been weighing on you, feel more connected to yourself, and respond to life's challenges with more confidence instead of just surviving them. My goal isn't to help you become a "perfect" mom. It's to help you feel more present, more grounded, and more like you again.

Therapy with me is warm, relaxed, and collaborative. You don't have to show up with the right words or have everything figured out before we start. We'll go at a pace that feels right for you, celebrate the small wins along the way, and create a space where you can finally put some of the weight down. If you're ready to reconnect with yourself and start feeling like life belongs to you again, I'd love to walk alongside you.
