Hey, I'm Katelyn.

You wake up exhausted, even after a full night's sleep. Your jaw is clenched before you've finished your coffee, your shoulders practically live up by your ears, and there's a knot in your stomach that seems to show up every Sunday afternoon.

You spend your days running on caffeine, adrenaline, and a mental to-do list that never gets shorter. You catch yourself holding your breath while answering emails, snapping when someone asks you one more question, and wondering why you're so damn tired all the time.

And when you finally get a chance to relax? You can't. Your body feels restless, your mind won't shut off, and suddenly you're scrolling through your phone because sitting still feels uncomfortable.

Maybe you've been dealing with headaches, digestive issues, muscle tension, or that frustrating combination of feeling completely exhausted but somehow still wired. You've even brought it up to your doctor, only to hear that stress might be contributing.

Which is great, except what the hell are you supposed to do when your entire life feels stressful?

I'm Katelyn, and I help women navigate anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, and trauma, especially when the stress they've been carrying starts showing up physically.

Together, we'll figure out what's keeping you constantly on edge and find realistic ways to feel better without adding another impossible task to your to-do list.

MY BACKGROUND AND APPROACH

Ever notice your stomach drop when a certain person's name pops up on your phone? Or your chest tighten before a difficult conversation? Maybe you've gotten so used to pushing through discomfort that you barely notice how tense you are until your body forces you to pay attention.

As a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), and practitioner trained in somatic mind-body healing, I'm especially interested in how our emotional experiences affect our physical well-being.

My background includes supporting young adults and individuals navigating substance use, housing instability, and significant life challenges. I've also worked with first responders through yoga, deepening my understanding of how people carry stress when they're expected to stay calm and capable under pressure.

So what does therapy with me actually look like?

We'll explore the patterns behind your anxiety, notice how stress shows up in your body, and figure out what helps you feel more grounded. I use somatic approaches, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based therapy to make our work practical and personalized.

That might mean recognizing tension before it becomes a headache, noticing when you're reaching your limit before you snap at your partner, or learning how to sit on the couch without mentally running through everything you should be doing.

I'm not going to hand you a generic self-care checklist and tell you to take more bubble baths. I want to understand what your actual Tuesday afternoon looks like, why your body always seems to be bracing for the next problem, and what changes will realistically work for your life.

Because you deserve to feel comfortable in your own body, even when life gets stressful.
