Navigating Life Changes with Clarity & Support
Alison Pugh (she/her)

You may be here because something in your life has shifted. A transition, increased responsibility, or a quiet sense that things no longer feel as steady or aligned as they once did. On the outside, you may be managing well. Internally, you might feel tired, uncertain, or disconnected from yourself. That is often what brings people here.
Therapy with me is calm, thoughtful, and collaborative. Sessions offer space to slow down, make sense of what is happening emotionally, and regain clarity during times of change. There is no pressure to have the right answers or to perform. We work at a pace that feels supportive and grounded.
My approach is evidence-based and respectful of your lived experience. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, life-review work, and strengths-based reflection. I work best with adults who value insight, steadiness, and practical tools, and who are looking for therapy that supports reflection, alignment, and intentional next steps.
My background & approach
I hold a master’s degree in clinical social work and am a licensed therapist. My clinical training includes work with adults and older adults across a range of concerns, including life transitions, stress, anxiety, mood changes, and adjustment to evolving roles and responsibilities. I have experience working with individuals navigating caregiving, career shifts, health-related changes, and later-life transitions.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based interventions, and I incorporate strengths-based and life-review approaches to support reflection, meaning-making, and emotional clarity. This work is informed by a deep respect for each client’s lived experience, values, and personal history.
I have worked in outpatient and community-based settings, supporting clients through both acute stressors and longer-term transitions. Across settings, my focus has remained consistent. To offer steady, thoughtful care that helps clients feel supported, understood, and equipped to navigate change with clarity and intention.
